The idea.
Sous Coffee began with a simple question: Why should keeping your coffee warm depend on a special mug or a cable?
Working alongside the founder, we transformed that idea into the world's first wireless coffee warmer. From early research and concept development to mechanical engineering, electronics, and product validation, every stage of development was carefully considered to create a solution that feels as effortless as enjoying a fresh cup of coffee.

Every decision was driven by the person holding the mug.
The system combines a food-safe magnetic heating attachment that sits directly inside the cup with a compact external module housing the electronics, battery, controls, and display. Together, they continuously monitor and regulate beverage temperature without changing the way people enjoy their coffee.
Beyond the product itself, every component was engineered with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, validated through multiple prototype iterations, and refined through mechanical, electrical, PCB, and firmware development. The result is a product designed not only to perform reliably, but to be manufactured, assembled, and scaled with confidence.

Sous Coffee was created to work wherever people enjoy their coffee, at home, in the office, during meetings, while studying, or wherever inspiration strikes. By removing the need for proprietary mugs and wired warmers, it fits naturally into existing routines instead of asking people to create new ones.

Alongside engineering and prototyping, Octane8 developed the photorealistic renderings, animations, product visuals, branding assets, Kickstarter campaign, and marketing strategy that introduced Sous Coffee to the world. Today, the project has successfully launched on Kickstarter, transforming an ambitious idea into a product backed by a growing community of supporters.
